The situation
Referrals bring excellent clients. They do not bring them on a schedule.
Most strong financial firms grow through relationships and word of mouth. That produces good engagements, but it leaves new-business development dependent on timing you cannot control, and partners rarely have hours to spare for systematic outreach.
Uneven timing
Referrals arrive when they arrive, which makes growth difficult to plan.
Limited control over fit
A referred prospect may be credible without necessarily matching the type of client the firm wants more of.
Business development competes with client work
Serving current clients naturally takes priority, so consistent prospecting and follow-up are often pushed aside.

Catalyst B2B Sales Accelerator
The primary service
A managed business-development channel, built around your ideal client.
The goal isn’t more names in a database. It’s a repeatable way to create conversations with business owners whose companies, needs, and economics fit the kind of client your firm wants to serve.
To get there, the Accelerator combines seven components into one program that we run on your behalf.
Target-market definition
We work with you to define the industries, revenue bands, ownership structures, and situations where your firm adds the most value.
Target-account and prospect identification
We research and build lists of companies and named decision-makers that match that definition, reviewed before any outreach begins.
Positioning and messaging
We translate your firm’s expertise into clear positioning and language specific to the concerns of owner-led businesses.
Professional outbound outreach
Email written in your firm’s voice and sent at a measured, deliverability-conscious pace.
Systematic follow-up
Thoughtful, spaced follow-up so interested owners are not lost to a busy week, and uninterested ones are respected.
Lead and conversation tracking
Every reply, referral, and status is organized in one place, so you can see what is moving and what needs attention.
Appointment generation
When an owner is interested, we coordinate a time on your calendar with the context you need to prepare.
Definitions first
What we mean by a qualified conversation.
Before outreach begins, we agree on the characteristics of a company worth pursuing: industry, size, geography, decision-maker, service need, and other relevant criteria.
The objective isn’t to fill your calendar with anyone willing to take a call. It’s to create conversations with organizations that reasonably fit the kind of client your firm wants to serve.

How an engagement runs
Four stages, each reviewed with you before the next begins.
Stage 01
Define
We document your ideal client, service lines, pricing context, and the situations that tend to precede an engagement.
Stage 02
Build
We assemble the prospect list and draft messaging. You approve both before anything is sent under your firm’s name.
Stage 03
Launch
Outreach and follow-up begin at a deliberate pace. Replies are triaged, answered, and logged.
Stage 04
Refine
Regular reviews of responses and conversations inform adjustments to targeting and messaging over time.
You provide the expertise. We manage the prospecting system.
Your involvement is concentrated around defining the clients you want, approving positioning and messaging, and reviewing results. Catalyst manages the ongoing outreach, follow-up, and system management.
Our approach
Your reputation is part of the strategy.
You are trusting us with your firm’s name. That changes how outreach should be built.
We favor careful targeting, professional messaging, controlled outreach, and thoughtful follow-up over indiscriminate volume. The objective is to start appropriate business conversations without making your firm sound like a lead-generation company.
| Topic | Typical volume approach | Catalyst |
|---|---|---|
| Targeting | Typical volume approach:Broad lists filtered by job title | Catalyst:Companies chosen for fit with your services and economics |

Schedule a 20-Minute Fit CallQuestions
What firms usually ask first.
Will outbound outreach hurt our firm’s reputation?
Poorly built outreach can, which is why reputation shapes every decision we make. Lists are narrowly targeted, messages are plain and professional, volume is controlled, and anyone who asks not to be contacted is respected. You approve the target list and every message sequence before anything is sent under your firm’s name.
What counts as a qualified conversation?
Before launch, we agree on the characteristics of a company worth pursuing: industry, size, geography, decision-maker, service need, and other criteria that matter to your firm. A qualified conversation is a scheduled discussion with a relevant decision-maker at a company that reasonably fits those criteria.
How is this different from buying leads?
Purchased leads are typically shared, loosely filtered, and passed along with little context. We do not sell lists or leads. We build a program specific to your firm: defining your ideal client, researching matching companies and decision-makers, reaching out in your voice, and managing follow-up.
How much time will our firm need to spend on this?
Your involvement is concentrated at the start: defining the clients you want and approving positioning and messaging. After launch, your time goes mainly to the conversations themselves and periodic reviews of results. Catalyst manages the ongoing outreach, follow-up, and system management.
How quickly should we expect activity to begin?
Outreach begins once you have approved the target list and messaging. How long that takes depends mostly on how quickly those decisions are made and on the technical setup needed to send professionally. We will walk through a realistic timeline for your firm on the fit call.
Do you guarantee appointments or new clients?
No. We cannot control how individual prospects respond or whether a firm ultimately converts a conversation into a client. We build and manage the system designed to create appropriate opportunities. Your positioning, offer, market, sales process, and follow-through all influence the outcome.
How does the engagement work?
It starts with a 20-minute fit call. If there is a fit, we move through four stages: Define, Build, Launch, and Refine. You approve targeting and messaging before launch, and we review results with you regularly as the program runs.
For your current clients
An additional resource for the clients you already serve
Catalyst also works directly with owners of privately held businesses on issues that extend beyond financial reporting and accounting. When a client’s challenge involves operations, leadership, organizational capacity, growth, or owner dependency, Catalyst can provide an additional diagnostic resource without replacing the CFO or CPA relationship.
